Oledb error could not find installable isam

My excel file is linked to dbf file and my pivot table refreshes when the Dfb file is updated. Now suddenly it stopped refreshing , seems like connection is lost, and error comes, "could not find installable ISAM" I am using excel In the properties under data connection, I checked the connection string which hasn't changed.
