Photoshop: print quality problems with Epson R Photoshop: Printer driver bug with epson Photoshop: Printing width of image is incorrect with Epson printers. Adobe Photoshop Family. Since they discontinued that printer, I recently installed an Epson XP and Photoshop has been crashing ever since when I try to print.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I've noticed that if I don't install the most recent driver from Epson v2. I'm having this problem on two separate computers. I've also been in touch with Adobe support and we have Updated Windows, uninstalled and reinstalled everything, held down the space bar when selecting print, tested on two separate machines, deleted all my preferences, tried older versions of Photoshop.

I've also contacted Epson and explained the situation to them and am waiting to hear back. Rich, I am your twin lol. Have used Epson , , and R printers which have all been discontinued. I will end up with about of whichever printer I decide to go with.

Like you I have several PCs that I have installed everything on. I have found that for mine I start having this issue as soon as I install multiple xp printers on the system. On all of the systems it will print my first document but as soon as I try to print a second document Adobe Photoshop crashes. I have tried the same steps to fix it as you with no luck. It acts as thought it is the saved printer preferences in Photoshop but it is not Photoshop's issue, it is the driver.

They are stored deep inside a Package where the print drivers are installed. Try using the ColorSync utility which can search the entire Mac for profiles. That's interesting. Thank you for the suggestion to use the Coolorsync Utility. It found a profile for the XP scanner function, but none for printing. Apparently the XP is only available outside of the US and the is the model sold in the States. I tried re-installing the driver; and I also tried using the ColorSync Utility, as suggested by TheDigitalDog, to search for profiles, the only XP one it found being for scanning, not printing.

So would you suggest that I use the XP profiles? I have to use something in order to allow me to select different papers — glossy, matt, semi-gloss, etc. Or should I try installing the XP printer? I don't think you can use a different printers profiles but you could make a test. Don't be surprised if the results are poor. I suspect Epson just doesn't supply them for you printer.

There are two sets of installers - one for the scanner and the other for the printer. Make sure you download both. I discovered earlier that, as kstohlmeyer pointed out eearlier in this string, the XP appears only to be sold outside the US; the XP being the US model. I have not, though, discovered the scanner driver. Would you be so kind as to point me in the right direction for that?

Thanks v. I had not tried scanning with the XP yet, having been much preoccupied with the missing printer profiles. But in between posting my request for a link for the scanner driver and now reading your kind answer, I looked into the matter of scanning and discovered that I could already scan without downloading an additional scanning driver , using either Epson ScanSmart.

So my single downloading and installation of the XPdriver s installed both the printing and the scanning drivers. Thank you again.
